Need to help your kids learn music in an isolated way? BandLab has taken the lead by offering a free beginner's songwriting course for the whole family
Many parents tinker with all the resources they have to continue their children’s education while they are trapped in isolation. BandLab took the initiative for music learners, with teacher Phil Heeley, to offer a free beginning songwriting class for students, teachers, and parents.
If you have a good internet connection, this course is for you. There is nothing to download or install, the cloud-based software runs on Mac, PC, and Linux platforms.
As long as you have the necessary material, there are no barriers to entry. If you are a parent without musical skills, don’t worry, the course is designed to help you and your children learn through practice.
Some of the skills covered in the course include the basics of using a digital audio workstation (DAW), how to structure songs with appropriate sounds, write lyrics, and how to record melodies using virtual instruments you will even get tips on finishing such as mixing and mastering.
